Events

School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Our school events may include:

• school orientation days
• sports carnivals
• open day and school tours
• Harmony Day and Book Week events
• excursions and incursions
• 10 day swimming scheme program for all year 2 students
• performances, concerts or school productions
• fundraising, charity and community events
• weekly assemblies
• graduation and other celebrations

Book Week

Book Week is a special time at our school where we celebrate a love of reading. Students take part in fun activities throughout the week.

3-6 Athletics Carnival

The carnival day is an opportunity for students to try their best in track, high jump, long jump, shot put and relay. All held on our school oval.

Music Showcase

Our K-2 music showcase provides our younger students with the opportunity to perform a piece that they have learned in class. They also get to watch and appreciate music instrumental pieces.

Swim Scheme

This 10 day program is run just for year 2 students. It's an intensive daily swimming program in whicch students get the opportunity to learn about staying safe around water and practise their strokes.

100 Days of Kindergarten

A super fun celebration just for Kindergarten students. Not only do they get to celebrate with a dress up theme but they also come together to engage in fun activities all about the number 100.

Harmony Day

The whole school community comes together on Harmony Day to celebrate the incredible diversity we share at Marie Bashir Public School. It's always a special day!
