At our school, student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We want every student to feel safe, included and ready to learn. Whether your child needs help with their mental, emotional, social or physical wellbeing, we are here to help them thrive at school and in daily life.

How we support student wellbeing

Supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing is part of everyday school life.

The Leader in Me

With support of the FranklinCovey Association, Marie Bashir Public School is focused on how we as educators can create leaders, one child at a time. The Leader In Me initiative based on The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, is embedded across all subjects areas, and modelled and taught daily.

We focus on developing the whole child by:

We use two frameworks in our work as a leadership school:

  1. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People  helps us learn and apply leadership skills and gives us a common language for building a supportive school environment.
  2. The 4 Disciplines of Execution  helps us to identify, track, and achieve academic and personal Wildly Important Goals (WIGs).
